CIRCULATION (FULL TIME)

Business Manager - (Woodland Park) This key quantitative position will be responsible for handling all budgeting, reporting and analysis to support the marketing and circulation sales efforts of The Record and Herald News. Duties include identifying and evaluating financial and marketing risks and opportunities; initiating action and encouraging decision-making based on findings and recommendations; reporting key business and financial metrics, including forecasting and trend analysis and leading retention modeling, customer profiling and segmentation and other forms of advanced analytics. Will also work with senior management team on circulation audit and all ABC reporting needs and the CIS team and Finance liaison to ensure compliance with all NJMG business practices, policies and procedures.  Must have at least five years' of experience in a business environment and prior experience in circulation, finance, financial accounting and/or relevant work experience.  Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Excel and Access.  Knowledge of SAP, PBS (including Insight), and Business objects a plus. Solid understanding of business analytics, methodical problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills. A BA/BS in quantitative subject and prior newspaper or magazine experience is preferred.   7/9/10

Regional Distribution Manager- Western - (Woodland Park) This position is responsible for the home delivery operations at multiple service centers and ensuring superior customer service to subscribers of The Record and Herald News, as well as all outside and alternate publications delivered through our daily distribution network.  Will also be responsible for achieving goals related to circulation penetration, complaints per thousand deliveries, expense control and staff retention for a defined geographical area.  Must have at least five years of related circulation experience, including warehouse and facility-management experience.  A valid driver's license and the ability to lift and carry bundles weighing up to 50 lbs. are essential.  7/6/10

Days/Hours:   Five-day work week, 6 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.; weekends included.
